Sorry I can't be more precise. Perhaps some functions that go with the CC app, like cloud storage and downloads, don't work, I haven't tried or needed that thus far. I can't really see why that would be be related to the external SSD, after the initial loading of the app in the RAM - which actually goes smooth. I must say that I run Lightroom in terribly low resolution (which only affects the interface), because on a 4K display it just wears out the processor. that would be very bad news for you wallet if you have to by Apple flaboured internal memory, yet it's quite easy and works fast enough from the external SSD over USB-C.
#ADOBE CC REDDIT INSTALL#
Imagine you would like to install every single Adobe CC app in your license.
#ADOBE CC REDDIT UPDATE#
The Adobe CC app for instance cannot "see" let alone update my Lightroom and Illustrator apps that are on an external SSD, simply because my macbook's hard disk is so full I need to remove programs to even be able to update the OS. I really like doing things the right way, the first time, I have found it saves a TON of time and hassle. Will I run in to any problems when it comes time to purchase the product? I just want to confirm that if I follow these instructions, I can have a fully functioning Adobe Creative Cloud on a external harddrive!? I really would like to move in this direction, so that I can move from my Desktop to my Laptop, at will. I was going to start with the monthly trial for Adobe Creative Cloud. Although I have worked out the budgeting to move back to Adobe. I have not used Adobe since it changed to SAAS. So you can install and run the software off of a external drive, entirely.?!
